Join us for Chilling Season — a secret, FREE outdoor horror screening series beneath the stars at one of Austin’s most haunted (and coziest) spots, Water’s Tavern (formerly Freddo ATX).
Our third and final mystery screening takes place Friday, January 30 at 8 PM, closing out the series with one of the most unsettling and controversial true-case–inspired horror films ever made.
Each night in this series has offered something a little different — from paranormal discussions and surprise guest speakers to spooky cocktails, exclusive artwork, and eerie details woven throughout the experience.
This final mystery film holds special meaning for me. It’s one of the earliest true cases that inspired my own journey into paranormal investigation. After the screening, I’ll lead a discussion unpacking the real events behind the story — separating documented facts from dramatization, examining why the case remains deeply debated, and exploring what it reveals about belief, trauma, and the limits…
