Alrighty Night Owls,Â
Mark those calendars and get ready for our next Netflix Party! I'm beyond excited to watch this supernatural classic from Roman Polanski with you Night Owls! This is honestly one of my all-time favorites. I even have the poster image you see above framed and hanging in my living room, signed by the incredible artist Jonathan Burton. Â Â
Released in 1968, Rosemary's Baby was  film director Roman Polanski's first American made film. It tells the story of Rosemary Woodhouse and her husband Guy, who have just moved in to their dream apartment in New York. As time goes by, Rosemary begins to realize her neighbors, the Castevets, seemingly friendly at first are now growing a bit intrusive and off-putting. She begins to suspect ulterior motives with the elderly neighbors, and her husband's unorthodox obsession with the Castevets pushes Rosemary down a rabbit hole of suspicion and paranoia. Soon she finds herself pregnant but instead of rejoicing for the oncoming new life growing inside her, Rosemary begins to suspect something more sinister is brewing, and she can't help feel trapped - in her apartment, in her marriage, and in her own skin.Â
The script was adapted for the screen by Polanski and was based on the novel written by Ira Levin of the same title. The film has won universal acclaim from critics and has since been selected  for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Now if that's not enough to convince you that you need to see this horror movie then I don't know what is!Â
Reminder, we will be watching this via the Netflix Party platform, which means you need to:
1. Have a Netflix account and be logged into said account on a computer or laptop (Netflix Party extension does not work on tablets or phones)
2. You  need to download and install the Netflix Party extension on your Chrome browser on your laptop or computer.Â
3. Last, you'll need the Netflix Party link we send out to click on and join the party!Â
It's highly recommended you watch my how-two Netflix Party video on YouTube, it will walk you step-by-step on how to download, install, and use Netflix Party properly. It can be tricky so this video can help. Â Here's the link to the video: https://youtu.be/p4BentPwvZgÂ
